When approached by Charlotte’s Mum in mid November I was a little surprised to learn that the wedding was to take place in just under nine weeks’ time.
An early afternoon ceremony and late lunch at Deken’s Barn just out of Oakura was planned and although the early forecast was for rain, the day dawned bright and sunny, albeit a little windy!
From the matching morris minor cars, the beautiful bridesmaid dresses made by Charlotte’s mum and the handmade wedding treats everything came together perfectly and was enjoyed by the large group of friends and family that attended.
The wedding turned out to be a perfect example of how even in a short time frame your day can be just as elegant and special as one that had years in the planning.
“We used Public Catering to do the catering for our wedding. We had a strong idea of what we wanted – casual, buffet, selection of salads and meats, on one condition – it had to be delicious. And that is exactly what we got! A huge number of our guests commented on the food, for weeks after we’d have them commenting that the food at our wedding was absolutely amazing… and in particular the pulled pork! It was the favourite. Thanks again Public Catering for the ease it was to deal with you, your patience as we played around with the menu, the incredible meal you put on and the fantastic service you provided – we couldn’t have done better!
Thanks very much, Ben & Charlotte.
