Trying to organise a wedding for the busy Christmas/New Year period while living in Melbourne is no easy task. But with the help of family and friends Megan & Kevin were able to pull together a stunning day. With a ceremony planned to be held in the Inglewood Catholic Church, the historic town hall was chosen for the reception. One of the couples favourite pastimes was swing dancing, so the hall with its sprung wooden floors was a perfect venue for this.
The plan was for guests to arrive at the hall while the bridal party went away for their photos for about an hour or so.
“We have noticed when we go to weddings we are often really hungry when we first arrive at the reception, so we wanted to present a grazing table of fairly substantial foods for our guests.”
Once the bridal party returned and guests were seated, mains were served and side dishes placed on the table for guests to help themselves.
“After months of planning our trans-Tasman wedding our big day was a massive success! It couldn’t have been possible without the online communication, photo sharing and patience of the best local suppliers. Jo and the team served up a delicious feast ensuring our guests were well looked after.
Tanya from Flower Lounge, Katie O’Neill photography and Michael from Theatre Lamp & Lighting also made a huge contribution to our day. Together they helped fulfil our every request with an eye for detail that made our special day so memorable.”
